The interdisciplinary opportunities offered by King’s enriched both my academic journey and extracurricular engagement, fostering a level of dedication which continues to help me reach my goals.
Whilst in Sixth Form at Kings I received ongoing support to follow a path integrating Art and Geography. During these years, I co-founded and led the new Da Vinci Society, was a member of the dance group Altiora, and was the Creative Director of the Young Enterprise team reaching the UK finals. These opportunities were integral for developing my ability to present talks, communicate with others, and manage various logistics alongside my A-levels.
I am very grateful for the help I received for my university applications, including help refining my portfolio and practice sessions for subsequent interviews. My advisor, Ms Jordan, supported me throughout the process and helped guide me to what university course would suit me best. At the time, I knew I wanted to continue both Art and Geography, and later received an offer from St Andrews for Art History and Geography.
Now in my third year at St Andrews, ranked among the top three universities in the UK, I am pursuing a joint degree in Art History and Sustainable Development. Last year I achieved the Dean’s List Award (receiving a First in all modules), and have thoroughly enjoy my studies so far as it allows me to critically explore the integration of Art and Sustainability. My support from Kings to chose this path was integral to get to both the academic and enrichment level I am at now.
Outside of academics, I continue to balance my love for sports, holding multiple university society positions, with my studies and part-time remote work with a Consulting firm in London. I have made significant progress in Olympic Weightlifting since starting at St Andrew. I will represent St Andrews at BUCS (British University Championships) this year and hope to be chosen for Scotland’s U23 Weightlifting team.
