King's High School and Warwick School walk for Ukraine

On Sunday, 23 March, pupils from King's High School and Warwick School took part in a sponsored walk in aid of raiding funds for emergency humanitarian support on the Ukrainian frontline. The group walked from 8am until 6.15pm, covering at least 20 miles!

They have now raised over £10,900 - a truly outstanding effort. The group's target is £12,000, and you can still donate to this worthy cause by visiting their Just Giving page here.

Special thanks to all those in the support vehicle, which provided welcome hot food and drinks (Mr Grant, Mr Davenport, and Mrs Wyatt), and to Miss Bowie and Mr Tapper-Gray for indispensable advice and support.

Thanks also goes to all of our colleagues who joined the students in their walk for Ukraine: Mr Sunner, Mr Barker, Dr Burley, Mr Sutherland, Mrs Thomas, Mr Miller, Mrs Didlick, Dr Chapman, Mrs Chapman, Miss Scott, and Mrs Emmett.

With sincere thanks, too, to Reverend Ann Peachey and the parishioners of St Laurence’s Rowington for their generous donations, warm welcome and perfect home-made chocolate brownies.
