Warwick School celebrates its Music Scholars at the annual Scholars' Showcase
On Monday, 24 March, Warwick School held its annual Scholars' Showcase in Warwick Hall, and what an event it was.
Music is an integral part of education provision at the Foundation. With our school-specific and Foundation-wide ensembles, partnerships, and concerts throughout the academic year, we are delighted to share musical stories from across the Foundation that aim to inspire and excite.
On Monday, 24 March, Warwick School held its annual Scholars' Showcase in Warwick Hall, and what an event it was.
On Thursday, 20 March, 13 pupils from The Kingsley School, King's High School, and Warwick School performed alongside professional musicians during 'Elements' at Warwick Hall. This truly unique opportunity was afforded as part of our ongoing partnership with Orchestra of the Swan.
Pupils from across the Foundation will be performing Air, a newly commissioned jazz-classical fusion piece from David Gordon and jazz saxophonist Tim Whitehead, alongside them and the professional Swan orchestra next month.
As the gloom of January settled in, last Sunday community spirit shone brightly at The Lord Leycester in Warwick.
Following his appearance at the spectacular 'Stories and Dreams' concert in October, Acclaimed Game of Thrones actor Anton Lesser returns to Warwick Hall on Sunday, 26 January to narrate at 'A Beautiful Thread'.
On Thursday, 28 November, Butterworth Hall provided the backdrop for a wonderful evening of music at our Foundation Gala Concert.
A Singing Town has been shortlisted for 'Outstanding Musical Initiative' in the Music and Drama Education Awards 2025.
Last Friday, our Chapel Choir and Fanfare Team joined together with choirs from across our Foundation schools to provide the music for the Foundation Service in St Mary's Church, Warwick. This annual festive occasion takes place early in the year and pays homage to the history of all of our schools, the service being an opportunity to reflect on the past and look to the year ahead.
