Foundation Service of Thanksgiving

The Foundation Service of Thanksgiving is held annually in September in the Collegiate Church of St Mary, Warwick.

The service is the only time in the year we bring together representatives of our whole Foundation community: pupils, staff - both teaching and support, parents, and Governors. We also invite members of the local community who support us, including representatives of The Charity of Sir Thomas White, Warwick, and The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust, Warwick who provide bursary funds, charities with which we have strong historic links, including The Charity of Thomas Oken and Nicholas Eyffker, other schools and organisations with whom we have strong links, and current-day donors. Civic representatives of the towns of Leamington and Warwick are also represented.

Pupils are represented by different year groups and also join forces to make music. In recent years, that has included pupils from our preps and junior schools playing chamber music, and pupils from our senior schools forming the Foundation Choir.

The service provides a moment to reflect on everything our community - past and present - has achieved, and to recognise everyone who has made, and continues to make, our charity such an extraordinary force for good.
