Recruitment Process
Application form
Found the perfect role for you? All you need to do is download and complete our application form and send it to the HR Department (hr@warwickschools.co.uk).
We regret that we are unable to accept CVs in application for any position in any circumstance.
What to expect
We aim to ensure the best quality candidates are recruited on the basis of their merits, abilities and suitability for the position. Once we have received your application to hr@warwickschools.co.uk you will receive an email to confirm receipt. Your application form will be reviewed by the shortlisting panel against the role criteria. Should we wish to discuss your application with you further, you may be invited to attend an interview.
Unsuccessful applications
Throughout the application process, we will keep you updated about the progress of your application. We aim to contact all candidates if they have been unsuccessful in reaching interview stage. However, due to the number of applications received, we are not able to provide feedback. The time taken to complete and submit your application is, however, very much acknowledged and appreciated.
Interview process
The interview process is an opportunity for us to get to know the person behind the application form and for you to see our community for yourself.
Interviews for teaching positions will normally take place over the course of a day. The format of these will vary depending on the role but will normally include:
- Interview with the Head Teacher
- Interview with the Head of Department
- Lesson Observation
- Pupil Panel
- A tour of the site
- Lunch and an opportunity to meet the rest of the department
If you are applying for a more senior role, then you may be invited to a second assessment which could include interview, opportunities to meet further members of the school community and a presentation.
Non-teaching roles will vary in the format of their interviews but will normally include a panel interview and, where appropriate, a skills-based test, relevant to the job role.
Safeguarding
At Warwick Schools Foundation we take our commitment to safeguarding seriously. All candidates invited to interview will be asked to demonstrate their understanding of safeguarding to a member of staff who is trained in Safer Recruitment. It is an expectation that all candidates attending interviews have read the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy. Links can be found at the bottom of this page.
