Why is there a consultation?

The Academies Act 2010 requires schools to consult such persons as they think appropriate on whether the school should become an academy. Irrespective of the legal duty, the Governors of the school would not wish to take such a significant decision on the future of the school without consulting with its stakeholders.

As such, each Governing Body of the schools intending to academise and join the WSF MAT, wishes to receive feedback on the proposal. Views and comments from each school community are therefore strongly encouraged.
