Throughout my time at Kingsley Sixth Form… I had a goal to earn a swimming scholarship to a university in the USA. I was supported the entire time…I was provided with all the resources I needed to be successful in both school and sport.
King’s gave me the opportunity to realise what career I wanted to pursue, and the resources to begin the first steps on that pathway beyond sixth form.
Warwick had a wealth of resources to help along the way…chatting to Mr Perry and Miss Gurnett about material to use, talking about plays that we'd seen… they were always available to run through monologues in the studio at lunchtime or after school
Ms Gilbert provided me with a lot of support. She helped me prepare for interviews and find a suitable apprenticeship pathway for me.
What are your fondest memories of being at Warwick School?
I was involved in a lot of music and drama and remember some of the concerts, plays, and tours very fondly. I also loved going to Politics Society talks – we had a lot of incredible speakers.
The interdisciplinary opportunities offered by King’s enriched both my academic journey and extracurricular engagement, fostering a level of dedication which continues to help me reach my goals.
I had an amazing experience at Warwick School Sixth Form, where I developed the skills, knowledge and confidence necessary for a successful career in medicine.
The support from the higher education staff and music teachers was invaluable when it came to pursuing my passions and making my university application… my music teachers encouraged academic discussions that transcended the curriculum, simultaneously fuelling my love of music and giving me crucial interview practice.
I will always be grateful to Kingsley for the incredible support and flexibility they gave me musically, academically and pastorally in achieving my goals.
My teachers were so supportive. I knew that studying a language with business and IT would stand me in good stead for the future…it undoubtedly helped me secure a place on Peugeot Citroën’s degree apprenticeship programme.
What are your fondest memories of being at Warwick School?
My wonderful times in the Chapel Choir! When I was a treble, I used to love the magical feel of Advent Sunday. The services were so popular we had to sing the service twice. So Mr Barr arranged for us to have supper with the boarders, which we'd eat as fast as we could so that we could get back to the music department before the teachers to play hide and seek!
Mrs Price introduced me to the drama school I ended up getting a scholarship to attend - The Guildford School of Acting, and she guided me through the application process, and held my hand throughout the ups and downs of inevitable rejections and euphoric acceptances. I couldn't have done it without her.
