King’s gave me the opportunity to realise what career I wanted to pursue, and the resources to begin the first steps on that pathway beyond sixth form.
At the beginning of Sixth Form I was uncertain about what I wanted to study at university - but through careers fairs and attending weekly law society meetings I came to realise how interesting I found law, and decided I would be well suited to a law degree post sixth-form.
After attending an open day at Oxford and being on the school Oxbridge preparation pathway in year 12*, I was given tremendous support not only with my entrance test (the LNAT) in the form mock tests and essay feedback - but also an expert personal statement tutor who helped with directing me to further reading and essay competitions which might be useful toward my application.
Furthermore, when I received my interview invitation in November of year 13 - I was offered a series of Mock Interviews to help prepare me for the Oxford Interview process, hugely increasing my confidence and my ability to express my thoughts aloud. From degree choice to university application - King’s were there every step of the way, and always made my dreams and goals feel achievable. I am now at Christ Church Oxford reading Law, having just matriculated two days ago!
