Partnering with Warwick Castle to support our local community

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our local community, we are delighted to partner with Warwick Castle to facilitate fully-funded trips and historical workshops at the Castle for schools in the CV34 postcode.

The project aims to support pupils within our local community to broaden their educational experiences, immerse themselves in the history of the town, and further develop their knowledge of the school curriculum in a fun and engaging way.

As part of the initiative, Warwick Castle is providing free admission to up to 30 children per school and accompanying members of staff. They are also funding curriculum-linked educational workshops, with the aid of historical props, costumes and real-life stories, to immerse children in over 1100 years of history.

Supported through funds from The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust, we provide transportation to the castle and back, as well as a packed lunch for all attending children.

Both the Foundation and Warwick Castle have worked closely with our local community for centuries; we are delighted to continue this relationship, helping to make a positive difference, with the introduction of this initiative.

Trips have already gotten underway; the first was in September 2024, and they will be continuing throughout the next few months until May 2025.
