Rebecca Winn - Global Universities

Throughout my time at Kingsley Sixth Form… I had a goal to earn a swimming scholarship to a university in the USA. I was supported the entire time…I was provided with all the resources I needed to be successful in both school and sport.

I studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry whilst at Kingsley, and I am currently studying towards two degrees - one in Marketing and one in Business Management.

Throughout my time at Kingsley Sixth Form, I was committed to competitive swimming and had a goal to earn a swimming scholarship to a university in the USA. I was supported the entire time and the staff helped me balance both my academics and sports. They made accommodations for my training schedule, allowing flexibility if I needed extra time to complete work if I was away at a swim meet. I was provided with all the resources I needed to be successful in both school and sport.

I also found that the small class sizes helped significantly with exam and essay support. A levels are demanding, so being able to have a small ratio of teacher to student helped me gain a better understanding in school and I would be able to get more personalised help if I was struggling. Any topics I struggled on in exams I would get extra support for.

I am in my final year of studies at Florida Gulf Coast University and am planning on graduating in May with a Bachelor's in marketing and a Bachelor's in business management. I am also working for a sports recruiting company that helps athletes from around the world obtain university sports scholarships to the USA.
